Naheo's is an LGBTQ+ hideaway here to provide a supportive queer space for immersive (in-character) play (collaborative or private) and a calm, relaxing environment for everyone, whether you want to just take a load off and chat or you're interested in testing the RP18+ waters with our experienced character players!If you're looking for a fully stocked bar, a quiet night, or a weekend with a sweetheart, you can't go wrong making this your stop of choice!
Rules
18+ ONLY. Roleplay is allowed and encouraged in open chat.
No harassment or disruption. Making anyone feel uncomfortable won't be tolerated.
Jokes are encouraged! However, if someone asks you to knock it off, do so immediately or you will be asked to leave.
No loud, explosive, and/or jarring emotes. We seek to provide an atmosphere free of stress and anxiety. Bad faith actors will be quickly removed to maintain said atmosphere.
Mod chat and Mare codes are allowed. Use caution in-game! Exchange information privately, be it in-game or outside sources like Discord. (keep in mind that our venue does have a Mare synchshell, available on the home page!)

This Lalafell's career began at a fairly young age. Being too restless to devote much time to studies she took up a waitress job at Buscarron's Druthers as soon as she learned enrollment in higher education wasn't compulsory. After a few years of working her way up to bartending, the old man urged her to take up a few jobs with the Adventurer's Guild in the hopes she could one day return to her birthplace of Ala Mhigo.Hoping to find her place in the more peaceful side of Eorzean life, Naheo tried working at a nightclub, then a bar and lounge, though she walked off the job after standing up to a corrupt manager. Missing the excitement and company, it soon dawned on her that she could open up her house! After much meditation on the name, her doors have been open since 3/15/23.When she isn't busy putting extra holes in ghoulish fiends who could use the ventilation, Naheo can be found getting a drink at a local bar or relaxing in her home with friends!

Born and raised in the ever mysterious lands of Yanxia, Othard, she is a kitsune that loves to tell stories through a performance and of course, tell fortunes. However, if an individual were to, say, make a bet of some fashion, she promises to never rig the results in her favor…Her life changed upon the invasion of Doma and subsequently all of Othard. She fled to the western lands of Eorzea where she stayed in Gridania for a while. Since that day, she became accustomed to the life of an adventurer and has acquired many talents to various degrees of proficiency. If asked, she would love to attend a small adventure not only as a means to help others, but as a way to show off.One fateful evening, she met a woman who she would love and marry, Naheo! Since 4/21/24, she is the happy wife of Naja’s and is ever by her side.Ever seeking a new challenge, you’ll usually find her when a new contest or simulation has reared its head ever eager to enter! A Raen with supernatural abilities stemming from their secondary lineage of the firebird Espers, Cyrene's personality and temper is as white-hot as their Phoenix-adjacent physiology.Growing bored of their adventurer lifestyle from early years, Cyrene has since retired for quite some time now, preferring to live the rest of their life as comfortably and lazily as possible instead. This lifestyle has led them to seek out all kinds of venues, with Naheo's being their most frequent one ever since their first visit.
After some time, Cyrene became Naheo's very first employee, helping out with drinks and the like... though their original role has since been passed on to the newest member in Gwenne. Instead, they created and now manage the very Tomestone page you're using to check this all out right now!Despite often acting tough, having a short temper and running their mouth with many a vulgarity in-between it all, Cyrene is not only introverted, but often the primary target for people looking to tease or pester someone at the venue-- a dynamic that has garnered them many a regular patron that's chosen to gravitate around them for whatever reason.
Whether it's to get a rise out of them, to make a potential friend, or something more... well, suppose one can say it depends on the mood that night.

Gwenne grew up in Limsa Lominsa, barely ever leaving city limits until she became an adult. Left without family support at a young age, she quickly learned to take care of herself through the advice of a few rough-and-tumble mentors from the seedy parts of town. The streets were not kind, but she learned how to fight for herself well enough that she made it through.Today, Gwenne makes her coin fighting for sport in places like Ul'dah's Coliseum, as well as a variety of private fight clubs. She loves to gush about fighting styles and weaponry, and appreciates chatting with someone who can take a joke at their own expense. If you can give her a brawl fierce enough to be worth remembering, you'll probably be friends for life.

Oh sorry, here's a quick introduction including basic terminology.Sounds like all roleplay is in-character, why do you need to clarify?
Roleplay by definition means that, absolutely. FFXIV venues have shifted from in-character interactions written out between characters using actions and dialog both to just in-game interactions in social environments, folks using their character as an avatar for chat about their personal lives. I'd like to foster a space where people are encouraged to practice roleplaying!Is out of character chat forbidden at Naheo's?
No, of course not. However, if you have something to say OOC and people are mid-RP, you can indicate your conversation is outside the scene by using ((OOC parentheses.))I want to try! Where can I go to learn more?

How to Fight!
Entrants will bow, tap fists, or otherwise indicate readiness to start.
Both fighters type /random 100 to determine turn order, then the fight begins!
Each match consists of best-of-3 duels, with each player having 20 health points to their name. The player that wins two bouts is crowned victorious for the match as a whole!
Both fighters use /random 10 to attack! Damage from both fighters is dealt simultaneously each turn.
If both rolls are identical, a cross-counter happens and both players deal damage to one another the same turn!
If you roll a 1, that is considired a Critical Failure, in which case you deal one (1) damage to yourself.Fights will be judged by the amount of flair you provide! Keep your /emotelog on, and use /em
textdo describe your movements and attacks!
Please feel free to use time during each turn to thoroughly describe your anime-esque finishers!If a round ends in a tie due to both fighters reaching zero (0) health points at the same time, the crowd will decide the winner of that round for them!
